2020 marked the 400th Anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower. Boston, Lincolnshire has many historical links to the Pilgrim story and we were asked to create a short, promotional film to highlight the tourism offer for those visiting from the USA and wishing to explore their cultural heritage. As well as capturing the historic city of Boston from the air, the drone was crucial in filming the Boston Belle, a pleasure cruiser that takes passengers on a journey along the River Witham, from Boston out into the Wash.

Our years of experience flying drones in challenging environments meant that taking off from the bow of a moving boat was no concern for our drone pilot, resulting in extraordinary tracking shots of the vessel in motion and making full use of the space above and around to capture a truly unique perspective of the boat and its surroundings.
