OUR APPROACH

It all begins with an idea...

FLight Operation

Once on location, our drone pilot must conduct a site assessment before performing any flight. Locations can change significantly from what can be seen using online maps and we need to ensure that the information obtained from desk-based research is accurate and that no other safety measures need to be put in place before flying.

With the site assessment complete and the flight operation signed off, we’re ready for take-off.

Our backgrounds as filmmakers gives us an eye for composition and story. We pride ourselves on being able to capture dynamic stills and moving image from any location. We’ve flown our drones in large cities, ports and stately homes, all of which are sensitive areas that require strict rules of engagement. Nevertheless, with careful planning and flying, our drone pilots are always able to deliver stunning photos and video footage to our clients.

Video Production Brief

Our initial conversation is the chance for us to chat to you about your project and its needs so that we can create a brief, allowing our team to learn about the location, the intended flight date and the subject matter of the filming. This information helps us plan how we might approach the drone production. With the assistance of online maps, drone airspace maps and weather channels, we can work out how the filming can be conducted in a safe manner, whilst still adhering to the brief. It’s at this stage that we will provide you with a quote.

This planning gives you peace of mind, knowing that Cinescape will ensure every flight, no matter the location, will be conducted safely and in line with current CAA legislation. With any areas that require additional confirmations and paperwork, our experienced team of pilots complete all documentation and planning thoroughly and keep you updated throughout the process, up to the date of flight.

PROJECT DELIVERY

Our clients need drone footage for a wide range of uses. For some, the footage will be edited into a larger production whilst in other cases the footage may only be needed to help review or examine an area of land. Depending on the clients needs, we can provide the footage or stills in a variety of ways.

At Cinescape, we can edit the footage for you, adding text, music and graphics as needed, or even undertake ground-based filming to widen the production into a full-scale promotional film. For clients with their own in-house editing capabilities, we can provide the raw files, allowing more flexibility in how the material is used.

With clients who need the footage ready to go, we can also colour grade in-house, making it reading for the edit, streamlining the process and saving you time.

Take the opportunity to chat to us about what you need.
