In this video production for East Midlands Ambulance Service, the drone was used to capture the movements of ambulances on roads across Lincolnshire, highlighting the variety of locations that EMAS operates in throughout Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, Nottingham, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.

Integral to this drone production was the need to locate areas to drive the ambulance that would allow us to also safely fly our drone above and alongside the vehicle, whilst also capturing stunning environments, enhancing the story we were telling. We used online maps and physical maps in combination with our rich knowledge of the Lincolnshire Wolds to select ideal filming locations, which were then checked on drone maps to ensure their eligibility for flight. Filming was conducted with radio and phone communication from drone pilot to driver, guaranteeing each shot was safely performed.

We also had the opportunity to capture the Hazardous Area Response Team during a training exercise on location in Derbyshire. The drone provided a unique perspective which brought to light the gruelling environments that this team has to operate in.
